If you are aiming at dilating the mouth of the uterus (cervix) it is situated higher up and penis does not entre the cervix during intercourse. During sex, the penis is in vagina. Vaginal opening does not require dilatation to initiate the labour pains; cervix is dilating during labour. Forceful dilatation of cervix has to be done manually by vaginal examination under utmost aseptic precaution lest the risk of infection endangering the life of baby and the child. Hence please do not get cervix dilated forcefully from your husband; and it cannot be dilated by sexual intercourse.
Now that you are 41 weeks pregnant, it is high time to report to the Obstetrician who after assessment will decide whether you need immediate initiation of labour or you need to undergo caesarean section or you can be left alone to wait for some more days.
Hoe this helps you.
