What Are The Possibilities Of Abortion With Absence Of Cardiac Activities In The Baby?
Hi doctor, i'm 36 yrs old and my height is 5.3 and weight 76 kgs and i had missed abortion i was around 3 months prenanant but no cardio activity in the baby so dr advised me to abort the child. Now this is my 2nd pregnancy and yestterday i went for my ultrasound and as per the 7 weeks pregnancy but till now not cardio acitivity in the baby... I m suffering my tyroid or did torch test also ... do you feel this time also i would have missed abortion.
Hi, Thanks for the query. Better to go for repeat ultrasound examination after one week to come to one conclusion regarding miscarriage. Because usually ultrasound can identify the fetal heart beat after 6 completed weeks of gestation. In case of irregular periods, sometimes the gestational age can be wrongly calculated. So, repeating the ultrasound is needed. If fetal heart beat is not found in repeat ultrasound also, better to plan for termination of pregnancy. And also through evaluation to find out the possible cause for repeated pregnancy losses is needed. Thyroid abnormalities can affect the pregnancy outcome. So, once check for your thyroid profile and if needed adjust the dosage. Take care.
Sorry to say,but signs are not good this time also. You can wait for one more week.Fetal heart rate can be detected from six weeks of gestation.TVS can detect fetal heart from 5 weeks. You need follow up scan after one week. Wish you all the best.
