What Are The Possibilities Of Getting HIV Through Oral Sex?

Hi, I have been reading so many different opions on hiv oral sex . I recieved a blow job no condom from a girl. She had not visable cuts etc around her mouth. But it was dark. I had no cuts on my penis. I did not even get that aroused. I did not ejaculate and eventually told her to go. No blood was clearly visable during the bj. I'm worried I might have got something from her! Feel terible about it. I noticed a small part of my penis had a purple bruise like make on the tip. Asuming this is just a bruise? She was rough and fast on me. From what I understand hiv can not be transmitted from her mouth to inside of me without a lots of blood mixing with my blood? Does saliva stop active hiv blood from effectiving others? I'm scared. Do you think I could have got hiv from this person if she has it? Maybe it could seep through my bruised mark on my penis she gave me? Please reply to me!

Hello dear,

The chances of acquiring HIV occurs in 2 cases:
1. If your partner is affected with HIV
2. If there is any cut/raw surface in your oral mucosa through which the infection can spread.

If the above mentioned criteria doesn't hold true for your case, then there is no need to worry about getting HIV.

There are certain tests like p24 assay or PCR for HIV, which becomes positive within a week and are almost 100 % sensitive.
Even the presence of a single virus in the body can be detected by PCR.
So, if this test comes negative, you can be sure that you are safe.

Wishing you a good health.
Take care.
