What Are The Possibilities Of Positive Urine Tests?

Hi I had two positive urine tests last week and one positive blood test today. My hcg 8790. I hope I am pregant and that it is not an ovarian cyst, tumor or cancer. I am due the first ultrasound in two weeks. I have been trying for 13 years now, so I am excited. What are the chances of possibilties of everything else except pregnancy.

A HCG test being positive, especially of that high a level, means you are pregnant. Congratulations! There are rare types of tumors that can make HCG but they usually have very high levels of the hormone. The way to make sure this is a normal pregnancy is to have your ultrasound, and the test will also see your uterus and ovaries. This does not mean necessarily that the pregnancy will be viable (meaning result in a live baby) 10 percent of all pregnancies will result in miscarriage... but your ultrasound again will be able to find out for you. In the meantime, stop drinking alcohol if you do, take prenatal vitamins, and try to be patient and excited! I wish you the best of luck with your pregnancy.
