General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Withdrawal symptoms of Lyrica are very much like those of alcohol withdrawal.

Craving for Lyrica, suicidal thoughts, confusion, agitation, difficulty falling asleep, palpitations, seizures, insomnia, etc.

It is very good if you are thinking to detox yourself but always do it under a doctor or a detox center.

Detox centers help to successfully detox keeping the patient comfortable by managing all the withdrawal symptoms just in time. Detox centers will treat you with medicines, physical therapy, help to take adequate rest.

Detox centers provide you detox facilities like counseling & monitoring patients. You may take the help of inpatient, outpatient or even get admitted when needed.

Detox is always done by tapering the doses slowly & managing the symptoms as they come along with maintaining the nutrition of the patient. Never stop any medicine abruptly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Nupur K, General & Family Physician
