What Are The Possible Side Effects Of Librax And Neopride During Pregnancy?
my sister had taken a Librax - 3 nos , Neopride Total - 7 nos, Orni 500 - 4 nos , Rabekind Dsr - 6 nos during 2 to 4 weeks of pregnancy.now she is 19 weeks of pregnancy .I wanna to know abt any side effects from above medicines.plz tell me urgent..... Thanks
The Librax contains combination of Chlordiazepoxide and Clinidium bromide used for various anxiety and gastrointestinal indications. The same drug is known to cause congenital malformations in unborn babies and hence not advisable during pregnancy.
Now as there is period of many weeks after its consumption, I can suggest to get an ultrasound of the fetus with 4 D technology and get best results of any malformation if at all.
Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
