what are the symptoms of stage 4 liver disease - hepatis A,B,and C from alcoholism?<br>My friend who is 48 years old came into our hospital with severe jaundice and ascites.Her skin is dark<br>and grey.She is anorexic and has numbness in her feet and hands.What is her survival rate?

I am truly sorry to hear about your friend with stage 4 liver disease from alcohol and hepatitis. She sounds like she has a terminal illness and without a liver transplantation she may not survive long. At this time I would suggest you give her as much support as you can give her. She may benefit from food supplements like ensure that is specially formulated for cirrhosis patients. Before giver her the supplements I would have you ask her doctor and nutritionist before giving it to her.
