What Are The Possible Treatments For Scab On The Wrist Resulting In Infection ?
Hey there. I slipped on wet stairs about a week ago and have a pretty gnarly scab on my wrist. I was just cleaning it (which I have been diligent about), when a kind of thick orange-yellow liquid came out of it, and I was wondering how likely an infection is. thanks
You seems to have developed a traumatic wound which has got infected.
See first of all, keep the infected area clean and dry. Clean it with an antiseptic liquid twice a day or you can use lukewarm saline water for cleaning rug Next apply a topical antibiotic cream over it. Do not apply any other oils or creams over it. You might need a course of oral antibiotics as well if the infection tends to persist. Keeping the affected wound open will help in early healing.
