What Are The Reasons For Having Sharp Shooting Pains In Left Side Between Ribs And Hip And Lower Back Pain?

hello, my name is molli and I have had sharp shooting pains in my left side between my ribs and hip, lower back pain. the sharp shooting pain happens about 4 times every hour but only last for seconds then its gone... it has been happening for about 4 days now...

I would come up with these possibilities for this type of pain in abdomen ( ribs to hip ) these includes.
1 RENAL colic ( stone ) as this pain is in the abdomen ( rib to hip ) and radiating to back also , so this may be due to stone in urinary tract system . Get in an ultrasound of this portion ( kidney to urethra) to rule out any stone.
2 May be due to ovarian cyst ( female 0 as this is most common cause of such type of pain so get in an ultrasound of ovary .
3 Amoebic colitis may be the next reason .Diagnosis can be confirmed by physical examination of intestine as well stool examination for Entameba histolica.
In my opinion consult a physician and get his opinion.
