Hello and welcome to healthcaremagic
Acne Rosacea OR simply Rosacea, clinically presents initially as easy flushing and blushing and later on as persistent erythema/redness over the cheeks. Patients with rosacea can also have acneform eruptions over the face over a background of redness/erythema.
If I was the treating doctor I would have started you on
oral antibiotics like either Doxycycline or
Azithromycin Or
Roxithromycin for a few weeks or months, depending on the response.
Topically you could use either
metronidazole gel once daily at night or azaleic acid based gel twice daily over the whole affected area.
Specifically for acne you could use a topical clindamycin phosphate 1% gel once daily, only over the active acne.
Low dose oral retinoids e.g 10mg
isotretinoin is an option for Acne rosacea.
Also advisable is avoidance of triggers like extreme heat and cold, spicy foods, emotional stimuli etc as well as using a broad spectrum sunscreen gel at least 15-20 mins before stepping out in the sun.
