What Are The Repercussions Of Child Ingesting Old Medicine For Fever?

I have just given my 9 year old daughter a 7.5ml dose of oral suspension paracetamol and she had one about 4 hours ago at 8.30pm. She has a fever. just noticed that the medicine, although still in date, should have been discarded 2 months after first opening, which was probably at least 6 months ago. Not sure. She said it tasted funny. Will she be ok?

Hello Welcome to Health Care Magic.
Don't worry much. Stay calm.
it is instructed because there are chances that it may get contaminated after opening the suspension. but she will be okay because of course the syrup does not convert into poison. so no issue for worry. If you find any symptoms take her to doctor.
Hope this information helps you.
Best wishes.
