What Are The Repercussions Of Ingestion Of 200 Mg Ibuprofen Tablets By Child?

My 23 month old just ate some 200mg ibuprofen tablets. I don t know how many she ate but she was only away from me for less than 5 minutes and she had to unzip a bag, dig around in the bag then get the ziplock bag open. Should I take her to the ER?? Thank you!

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

No, nothing bad will happen to her. She will be more quiet and sleepy as per other days.

Just observe for any other unusual symptom. In that case, should send to ER.

For the moment, just give her plenty of warm water to make her vomit.

After that give a glass of warm milk.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Albana Sejdini,
