my daughter drank cleanex floor/toilet cleaner. we rushed her to a hospital. the doctors kept her under observation in icu for a day. she was stable but 2 days later she ate chicken and then she started vomiting and had loose motions.whatever she eats she starts vomiting. please tell me whether its serious and what should i do.
Based on the history you have shared, she may need blood work up with liver and Kidney function tests as well as blood gases to see for acidity of the body. If any abnormality, is detected it should be treated accordingly.
Meanwhile cold milk, avoiding spicy or high fat or protien diet as well as soda beverages must be ensured. Antacids may be used for few days. If problem persists upper GI endoscopy may be needed.
