What Are The Required Tests For Testing STD And HIV?
hi. i gave oral sex to two different men about 5 years ago. with one man, it was once, with the second man, we were in a relationship so we engaged in that many. i never got tested at the time. recently i had urine tests done for chlamydia and gonorrhea, both of which were negative. i never experienced any std symptoms. what should i do now, in terms of testing?
Hello You gave only oral sex and according to this I am writing in detail for your information. Oral sex is much less efficient mode of transmission of HIV than is receptive anal intercourse. A number of studies have reported that the incidence of transmission of infection by oral sex among couples discordant for HIV was extremely low;indded one stuy reported no case among 239 men whose only risk was receptive oral intercourse where 28 % knew that their partner was HIV-infected . However, there have been several reports of documented HIV resulting solely from fellatio and insertive cunnilingus. So there fore , the assumption that receptive oral sex is completely safe is not warranted. So get in blood for VDRL test as well as p24 rapid nucleic acid amplification test . Hope this will help you.
