What Are The Risks Associated With Uteroplacental Insufficiency?
Good afternoon Sir, Myself pooja sharma from Pune, I am pregnant by 30 weeks. My Doctor has diagnosed uteroplacental insufficiency (reduced blood flow from mother to fetus), and i am taking Depin tablet once a day. please tell me exactly what it is and what are the risk associated ?
Hi, I can understand your concern about baby and i would like to tell you that depin is a calcium channel blocker and it is given usually to treat hypertension and it is absolutely safe to be given during pregnancy, which will increase the blood flow towards fetus. Uteroplacental insufficiency is a serious condition, which can hamper the blood supply to fetus and can affect the growth of fetus, so you need to be proactive regarding this condition. You must control your blood pressure at any cost, which will increase the blood flow to fetus. Regular check up and proper rest is must. Care must be taken for prevention of any kind of edema specially in morning. So you must follow up regularly and take proper rest and medicines prescribed by doctor to prevent any kind of complications. Don't take tension and be relaxed.
