What Are The Risks In Inserting Pacemaker In 94 Year Old Woman?
My 94 year old grandmother was facing issues, which lead to her being extremely lethargic, yesterday she woke up and had no response, blank look to space. Today, she wen to neurologist and they mentioned a pacemaker would have to be inserted. What are some of the risks?

she might have suffered a heart block with brady cardia
inserting pacemaker is the treatment of choice
as such there are no significant complications , or risks with the pacemaker.
it is a procedure done bedside under local anaesthesia by the cardiologist.
