What Are The Risks Involved In Surgery Of Bow Legs?

Hello, I am a 21 years old girl and I have bow legs. I was born this way so i worn special shoes as a child but the problem with my legs wasn't fixed. In my country,Greece, bowlegs correction surgeries are not performed. And I wondered if this kind of surgery is performed somewhere else besides Russia(I have read that doctors maltreat the patients there and that they face several problems with walking afterwards) if so where and what are the risks? I never felt pain while exercing but sometimes if I walk for a long time my knees are in pain afterwards. Also, I think that my legs are more bow now than the used to be. Thank you in advance!
