Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Are The Risks Of Having A Heart Attack With Fluctuating BP Levels?
I m 32 years old. Weight 320 pounds. For the last 4 months my blood pressure has been 150/110. It goes a little higher and a little lower. I ve talked to my family doctor and she put me on anti depressants and told me to hang off going on blood pressure meds. I m scared that I m going to have a stroke or heart attack. Should I be concerned right now or am I young enough still that I can wait.
Hello dear Greetings Regarding your fear of developing a stroke or heart attack with a blood pressure of 150/110 I am suggesting this is very unlikely you would developed that if it is adequately taken care off with effective antihypertensive medication
Your prescription of antidepressant alone is not enough to achieve remarkable result from your questions so I will advice you to add any antihypertensive medication such as captopril amilodipine or aldomet
I hope this helps Regards
