Hello, Please understand that vitiligo being an autoimmune disease there are a vast array of therapies available and being used by dermatologists today. The treatment is tailored to achieve best patient satisfaction. Placentrix is a medicine which contains placenta tissue extract which is helpful in healing of chronic wounds. These chronic non healing wounds are considered one of the hypothesis for vitiligo. Although Placentrix has side effects like any other medicine and includes risk of hypersensitivity reactions, if it is administered under clinical setting under the guidance of your physician it should be alright and any untoward events can be taken care effectively by your dermatologist. Also it is my opinion that your dermatologist has prescribed you this medicine after considering all the risks vs benefits it can offer you.
