Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My mother is 89 years old. She had a stroke (bleed) on August 31 2014. She has been left with involuntary movement in her left arm and left leg. Her leg kicks uncontrollably - her left arm is the same. She has been prescribed valium, kepra and clinasopam with varied results. Kepra was not particularly helpful and valium and clinasopam caused hallucinations, weakness and sleepiness. Today she was prescribed Abilify - 2 mg three times a day. She is taking Paroxitine for depression. Reading the side effects of Ability, our family is scared to death for her to take it. What is your recommendation?
