I have gout and was prescribed 300mg of allopurinol a day which didn t quite do it for me .. a friend is taking 600 mg a day so I went to that level and my foot felt great. Saw my doc a few days later and he said no he wanted me to take Ulloric at 40 mg.. that didn t do it so then we went to 80mg a day .. my foot feels a little funky what is the risk of 600 mg of allopurinol? I am 75 run most days 3-5 miles a day and lift weights just about every day for an hour. Any thoughts.
