What Are The Side Effects Of Althea?

Good.am , I gave birth last november 2014 via caesarian s.and decided to take the DEPO contraceptive last june 2015,it is my first time usibg that kind of contraceptive . My second appointment in our health center is this coming august..but . My partner now wanted me to change my contraceptive into ALTHEA PILL.. my question is, is it ok to change my contraceptive without consulting any ob for less money usage? What is its side effects? Or any safe contraceptive that you can suggest ?

idont see the need of depot after delivery. can take contraceptive pill or your husband can use condom.
