Hi and welcome to HCM
I'm Dr. Taimur and I will be addressing your health concerns.
I have read your question and understand your concern.
Syp asthalin contains
salbutamol which is a
bronchodilator ( dilates the small air passages and thus relieves the symptoms of asthma).
Tab Romilast contains
Montelukast which is a mast cell stabiliser and also helps in relief of asthma symptoms through a different mechanism.
Salbutamol main side effect is
tachycardia (
increased heart rate) and Montelukast can result in flue like symptoms, but it seems like it is the asthma which has exacerbated( during spring most asthmatics experience increased sign and symptoms because of increased pollens in air).
My recommendation is to continue your sons medications, the symptoms will improve with it.
Meanwhile you should have precautions like cover his mouth early in morning while getting out of his bed and avoid going to open places having grass and flowers, avoid dust.
If the symptoms still persists then he might need a short course of steroids with inhalers or nebulisers.
I hope this might be of some help, if you have any query feel free to ask me any time.
Thanks.
Dr. Taimur
