Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Is there any side effect taking Atacand 16 mg? My blood pressure is up and down and a friend of mine said, she s taking Atacand + 32/16.5 and since then her blood pressure was good, she s taking it at night time instead of taking it in the morning. Any clarification that you can give is much appreciated. Thank you.
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have fluctuating blood pressure . Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query like effect of medication for depression, hypertension, or Parkinson’s , adrenal fatigue and over activity and hardening of arteries . Sometimes fluctuating blood pressure is indication of stroke . Atacand is an angiotensin II receptor antagonist. Candesartan keeps blood vessels from narrowing, which lowers blood pressure and improves blood flow . So you should take it on prescription of expert . I would suggest you to consult cardiologist without any delay for proper examination . Doctor may order ECG , TMT , blood flow study , check vitals and treat according to diagnosis .
Hope your concern has been resolved.
