Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have RA. I took my weekly dose of Methotrexate, 7 tablets of 2,5 mg. Later that day, yesterday, I went to an Urgent Care clinic for a cough I have had on and off for two weeks. The doctor prescribed Azithromycin tablets 250 mg - 6 tablets. I am concerned about side effects.
Hello there I have read through your question and would like to tell you that Azithromycin is a relatively safe drug but in some people it can cause some side-effects like diarrhoea, nausea or mild rash. But I don't think you need to worry unless you are allergic to Azithromycin. I hope that answers your question. If you have any further questions please feel free to write. Thank you for choosing healthcare magic.
