What Are The Side Effects Of Cypon Syrup?

My child going to be 18 months old..and is a very very picky eater...His weight gain has been too slow. He weighs only 9.7kgs as of now. When we consulted paediatrician, he has prescribed cypon syrup..what are the side effects? And will my child stop eating once cypon is stopped?

I really appreciate your concern, there is no fix criteria for the children of age of one years or two, but parents not to worry about it because according to their needs children eats and some time it looks less to us and because of this no need to give any medicine, if the given medicine is "Cyproheptadine" then it may not be given because it may cause central nerves system related side effects even undue weight gain, hope this information helps, take care and have a nice day.
