What Are The Side Effects Of D SOL And Arachitol Injection?
Hello Doctor, My vitamin D test results show the level of 5, is it alarmingly low ? i have been told to go for arachitol 6lac Unit injection in the hip area & also 1 tablet of D SOL 60k once a week. want to know the side effects of both the medicines if any.
Both are drugs containing Vitamin D3,which is the active form of vitamin d.It is encouraged to take the drug along with milk to increase the absorption of the drug.
Constipation, skin rashes and rarely raised calcium levels in the blood or urine may occur as side effects.
Monitoring of vitamin d levels after 20 to 30 days may be essential. Kindly check your thyroid levels since both disorders can coexist.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards Dr.Saranya Ramadoss, General and Family Physician
