What Are The Side Effects Of Dazit And Practin?

I am 60 years old female and weigh 128 lbs. I have been advised Dazit 5 mg and Practin 4 mg for treatment of Urticaria. The flare ups are controlled but the red patches still come and go. What are the side effects of these medications? are there any alternatives?

The most common adverse effects of Dazit (desloratadine) reported are headache, dry mouth and fatigue.

Common side effects of Practin (Cyproheptadine) include drowsiness, tired feeling, sleep problems (insomnia), dizziness, spinning sensation, blurred vision, loss of coordination, upset stomach, nausea, diarrhea, constipation, appetite changes, weight gain, restlessness or excitability (especially in children), numbness or tingly feeling, increased sweating or urination, thickening of mucus in the nose/throat, or dry mouth/throat/nose.
