Hi. Thanks for trusting HealthCareMagic. I have understood your query. I hope you're in good condition right now.

Elderberry (Sambucus nigra) is a plant that can be used as traditional medicine, to prevent cold and influenza, also to boost immune system. others function of elderberries are as antioxidant, lowering cholesterol, improving vision, improving heart health, fighting bacterial and viral infections, lowering blood sugar, natural diuretic, preventing cancer etc.

the side effects by using elderberry are few. consuming raw/uncooked elderberry can cause GI distress in some people, such as nausea, vomiting or diarrhea. you should never give elderberry to infant under 12 months old.

I hope these can clarify your questions. if there's anything else you need to know, feel free to ask. I'd glad to help you and discuss it in HealthCareMagic. take care.

Regards,
dr. Asti Yuliadha
