What Are The Side Effects Of Labetalol?

I ve been taking labetalol for quite awhile now. I just learnt that one of its severe side effects was unusual weight gain. I am 64 years old in very reasonable good health and exercise daily and watch my diet religiously. Yet I seem unable to loose any weight. I take 300mg of Labetalol 3-times a day. Could that be one of the reasons I am not seeing any reduction in my weight-loss program? Please advice. McDonald
