General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Based on the history he seems to be suffering from gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) which occurs when stomach acid frequently flows back into the tube connecting the mouth and stomach (esophagus). This backwash (acid reflux) can irritate the lining of the esophagus as well as the air ways. Lanzol tablet is a proton pump inhibitor used in the treatment of GERD and other acidity related disorders. It decreases the amount of acid produced in the stomach Generally it is well tolerated, however it can cause diarrhea, headache, thinning of the bones and increased risk of gut infections.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Mohammed Taher Ali, General & Family Physician
