What Are The Side Effects Of Levipil, Eptoin And Ostocalcium?

Hi, My son(9 years) had a Seizer Attack around 1year back. The CT Scan Report and eeg says that everything is normal, however mri report has revealed about white matter seen. He has been Recommended Levipil Syrup (Main composition: Levetiracetam 100mg) 5ml twice a day,eptoin(phenytoin) 7 ml twice a day and ostocalcium 5 ml once by a Specialized Neurophysician.how long it going on. we are worried about long-lasting Side effects of the same. Also, do you recommend us to see any . Is it going to help. Kindly help.

Hello,

Levetiracetam don't have any much troublesome side effects but Eptoin has. Please ask your doctor to taper off Eptoin and increase dose of Levipil for optimum control. You can consider opinion of a neurologist for sure.
