What Are The Side Effects Of Mirtazapine And Seroquel?

I have been taking mirtazapine 30mg & now have been prescribed seroquel 200 mga as well after coming off serepax 60mgs ( daily ) Is suffer with PTSD, a result of a abusive childhood. Are these two medications combined, compatible & what are ( 1 ) side effects and ( 2 ) do they clash with other medications ?

I can understand your concern. Mirtazapine is an antidepressant drug that causes effects by improving serotonergic neurotransmission. The drug is safe to be taken and is free of serious side effects. The drug is known to cause sedation, drowsiness, increased appetite, weight gain etc side effects. Over all the drug is safe and can be taken.

Seroquel is Quetiapine and the drug is an antipsychotic drug. The drug is known to cause sedation, increased sleep, weight gain etc as side effects on normal doses. The drug is known to cause extra pyramidal side effects in high doses but is safe.

There are no serious drug interactions if these drugs are taken together. You can go for these drugs without any fear. Both are safe.
