Dear Sir, Hi & Welcome to HCM.
I can understand your concern.
Based on the history given in your query;
1. Your blood glucose seems to be well controlled with the prescribed medications Metformin & Glipizide. They are generally safe and well tolerated, however they can cause the following side effects:
Metformin can cause
stomach upset, cramps, diarrhea,
lactic acidosis (which is rare).
Glipizide can cause
hypoglycemia (low blood glucose), increased appetite, weight gain or allergic reactions.
2. You seem to be suffering from a condition called
Thromboangiitis obliterans (TAO) which commonly occurs in chronic smokers with heavy tobacco use.
At the outset, you must stop smoking completely. As absolute discontinuance of tobacco use can prevent the progression of TAO.
Besides, you can take certain multivitamins containing Methylcobalmin & Alfa
lipoic acid to get relief from the painful nerves.
Hope this will help.
