What Are The Side Effects Of Nifedipine?

I ve been taking nifedipine er osmotic relea once a day for Raynard s disorder. I ve been disoriented for several days. Could this be a side effect from this drug. My Doctor told me to discontinue it for a couple of days. What are it s side effects? Evelyn Burton YYYY@YYYY

First of all it's sad to know what you had been going through lately. Based on the history you have shared, it is vasodilator and helps to open up arteries to release pressure of blood flow and it may does the same in whole body including brain but disorientation needs to be evaluated separately and not only because of its side effects. Other side effects like tachycardia or body swelling are more common.
