Hi! Welcome to HCM! Ican understand your problem. Nothing to worry! Olanzapine is a safer drug as compared to Chlopromazine the older drug used for similar clinical condition. However it is known to cause agranulocytosis (decrease white blood cells), Increase in cholesterol and glucose level in the blood in some patients. For the reasons mentioned above you should have periodic CBC to detect agranulocytisis . In case if you get infection like sore throat fever you should report to your doctor so that he could switch over to a better medication. Take care!
