Hi,
Pacitane contains
trihexyphenidyl which is used with other medications to treat parkinson's disease. It is also used to treat severe movement side effects caused by certain drugs or drug induced movement disorders. Other side effects of Pacitane are nausea, vomiting, dryness in mouth,
constipation,
blurred vision, dizziness, headache,
stomach upset, difficulty in urination,
nervousness, allergic reactions etc. It is advisable not to stop this medication without consulting your doctor. This is because a sudden stoppage can cause symptoms of parkinson's disease or drug induced abnormal movements to return.
Rivotril contains clonazepam that is used to treat epilepsy or seizures and anxiety disorder. It helps to decrease the abnormal and excessive activity of the nerve cells and clams the brain. Side effects of Rivotril are dizziness, drowsiness, fatigue, depression, weakness, tiredness, impaired coordination, allergic reactions etc. You should not stop this medication suddenly without talking to your doctor as it may increase the seizure frequency and can cause nausea, anxiety, abnormal muscle spasms and flu like symptoms etc.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Zubayer Alam, General And Family Physician
