What Are The Side Effects Of Predinisone?
I was diagnosed with pneumonia yesterday after being ill since Tuesday. He has prescribed Doxycycline hyclate 100mg and Predinisone 50mg 1Xday for 5 days and then stop. I am not comfortable with taking the Predinisone after reading many bad after effects. I only took one dose last nite and don t plan on taking anymore. will this be okay?

The effects would mainly occur if the medication is used for a prolonged period of time.
If a short 5 day course is used , side effects are not likely to occur. Many persons with bronchitis or pneumonia have to use a short course of prednisolone but if you are not comfortable then you should discuss with your doctor.
If you continue with it then you should use it in the morning because this is when the body releases it own steroids.
