Hi,I am Dr. Amitkumar Sharma (Internal Medicine Specialist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have started using pregnacare conception tablets only for the last week. My menstrual cycle is due on Wednesday bug my breastfeeding are terribly swollen and very sore. I have had breast pain leading up to menstrual cycle but nothing like this and no swelling. Could the vitamin be causing this and so quickly?
Pregnacare conception tablets are formulated with folic acid and other vitamins and minerals to support mothers-to-be with conception.
The swollen breasts you are experiencing are due to hormonal changes as your expect your periods on Wednesday. They have nothing to do with the supplement you are taking.
Folic acid is clinically known to speed up conception rate; and hopefully, that will happen to you soon.
As I do not like to precipitate (and it is better not to rush) in advanced conclusions; I highly recommend to wait for your periods to come. If no period, can take the pregnancy test after 10 days and see if pregnant or not.
Good luck! Dr.Albana
