What Are The Side Effects Of Quetiapine Fumarate?
Can you maybe help me please. My husband has Alzheimers for about 10 years and he is now sleeping more during the day, and wandering about at night at I am so tired of him keeping me awake. He is under the care of Hospice and they told me to give him quetiapine fumarate 50 mg, but when I read the side effects, it scares me to give it to him. What do you think?

As per your query your husband has Alzheimers for about 10 years and he is now sleeping more during the day, and wandering about at night . Doctor prescribed his quetiapine fumarate 50 mg for sleep . Well there is no drug without any side effect and same is with quetiapine fumarate 50 mg . there are side effects like dizziness, drowsiness, tired feeling , dry mouth, sore throat , stomach pain, upset stomach, nausea and vomiting . But if doctor prescribed you this medicine , then he/she has already took the fine assessment of your condition and side effects of thsi medicine . I would suggest you to again consult your doctor and discuss the whole condition . Doctor may alter the does or prescribe sume substitute with lesser side effects .
