Hi,
Thanks for posting in HCM.
I understand your concern.
Seroflo Inhaler contains a corticosteroid and anti-inflammatory agent 'Fluticasone Propionate' and a long-acting bronchodilator 'Salmeterol' as ingredients.
It works by relaxing and opening the air passages in the lungs. Also it helps in preventing the release of the inflammation and allergies causing substances in the body.
It is used in the treatment of Asthma, Seasonal allergic disorders, Lung diseases, Shortness of breath, Coughing and Bronchospasm.
Sinus pain, Fast heart rate, Hoarseness in voice, Palpitations and Sore throat are possible side effects associated with the use of such inhalers.
Some of the side effects can be avoided by gargling the mouth following intake of puff.
If the symptoms are better with its use, your doctor might reduce the dose accordingly. It might not be possible to completely withdraw its use.
Most often, use of such inhalers are found to be safe without causing much side effects.
Hence, kindly continue to use as recommended and do the necessary follow-up as suggested.
Hope the information provided would be helpful.
All the best and wish you good health.
Regards,
Dr.Ashakiran.S.
