These medicines are unlikely to cause swelling of limbs. If he is on NSAIDs like Ibuprofen or Diclofenac, he can have swelling from Sodium and water retention or kidney involvement. Diseases of the heart, liver or kidney are the common causes of swelling of the limbs.
