Hello,
Thanks for trusting Healthcaremagic!
I have gone through your query and I can understand your concerns.
Thyronorm is the brand name of
levothyroxine. It is quite similar to natural
thyroid hormone produced by own thyroid gland. The side effects are very minimal compared to other drugs.
Your
TSH came back to normal may be because of thyronorm supplementation.
However long term use of thyronorm can cause minor side effects like like
1.Irregular menstrual periods
2. Diahrrea
3.Palpitations
4.Sleep problems (
insomnia)
5.Pounding heartbeats or fluttering in your chest.
6. Appetite or weight changes.
Most of these effects are usually temporary and your body gradually adapt to thyronorm.
Do TSH assay every three months and you can gradually bring down the dose of thyronorm. Never stop thyronorm abruptly a it can cause catastrophic effects.
Hope I have answered your query.
Regards.
