Hi,

Uvox tablet contains fluvoxamine which belongs to the group of antidepressant medications known as selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs) is used to treat depression, where it helps to make someone feel better. This medicine works by increasing the level of the chemical serotonin in the brain. This improves someone's mood, relieves anxiety, tension and helps someone sleep better. It usually takes 4-6 weeks for this medicine to work so someone needs to keep taking it even if he or she feels it is not working. Don't stop taking it, even if she feels better unless the prescribing doctor advises her to.

Side effects of Uvox tablet are nausea, vomiting, drowsiness, dryness in mouth, fatigue, increased sweating, indigestion, changes in sleep cycle, loss of appetite, nervousness, tremor, low sexual desire, delayed ejaculation, erectile dysfunction, headache, diarrhea, restlessness, dizziness, gas, sore throat, suicidal thoughts, allergic reactions etc. If these side effects persist for long or bother your daughter, then she should consult her doctor promptly for medical help.

Take care. Hope I have answered your questions. Let me know if I can assist you further.
