my daughter is 13 years old and i met the neurologist MD in ( Ped),He sugested for EEG & after seeing the report he asked us to take tablet VALPARIN CHROMO 200 mg for a week and asked to come for a review after a week. We have started the medicine today, I would strongly want to know the side effects of this medicine. Thanks

I can understand your concern. Valprin Chrono consists of Sodium Valproate and the drug is an anti seizure drug. The drug is a broad spectrum anti seizure drug and is a safe drug for children. The drug can cause sedation, nausea, lack of appetite, dizziness, vomiting etc as common side effects. In high doses or in some susceptible individuals the drug is known to cause damage to liver and it may result in abnormal elevation of liver enzymes. But these side effects are not very common. Over all the drug is safe to use and you can give her as per prescribed doses without any fear.
