What Are The Side Effects Of Vitazym Powder?

My baby is 5 months old and he cries with pain in stomach due to the gas. His stomach gets hard like rock . This problem occurs 3-4 times in 1 day . Some time he does not poop for 2 days. Doctor prescribed him vitazym powder for 2 weeks , which gives a instant relief to my baby and helps him to poop. Can I continue this medicine . What are the side effects of the same? Pls advise

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi

Vitazyme is a digestive medicine. It promotes proper digestion since it contains a rich formulation of Fungal Diastase, Cardamom oil, Caraway oil and Cinnamon oil.

You can continue for 2 weeks and it is not necessary to continue beyond that period.Side effects may not always occur. Some of them are diarrhoea and vomiting.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards
