General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi & Welcome.
I appreciate your concern for your beloved husband who is suffering from 'dropped head syndrome' apparently resulting from cervical dystonia resulting in repititive involuntary contraction of the neck muscles.

Generally, treatment of this condition is to find out the underlying cause and its treatment accordingly.
isolated botox injection

Isolated Botox injection is relatively safe when given by an experienced doctor. Its possible side effects include: Redness, pain, swelling, bruising, and infection at the injection site. These side effects are typically very minor occurrences and resolve with time.

Although very rare, it's possible for the effect of botulinum toxin to spread to other parts of the body and cause botulism-like signs and symptoms such as muscle weakness, vision problems, difficulty in speaking, breathing or swallowing or and loss of bladder control.

Hope to have answered your queries.
Best regards.
