Hi,I am Dr. Amitkumar Sharma (Internal Medicine Specialist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My 2yr child managed to find an advil in wife s purse. She bit into it and more than likely did not enjoy the taste, so she vomitted. I was searching online for answers, found no harm will come from this even if she would have swallowed it. Is this true?
Since your daughter vomited immediately after taking advil accidentally there is nothing to worry because she has not swallowed it so harmful effects will not occur. However, seek medical attention if your daughter starts vomiting, or complains of abdominal pain, rash, itching or difficulty in breathing.
Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Mohammed Taher Ali, General & Family Physician
