What Are The Side Effects Of An Emergency Contraceptive Pill?
Please I had sexual inter course with my boyfriend but he redraw his penis from my vagina when the sperms was coming .but have already taken a pill buh am not sure whether the semen enters .So please what is the effect of taking the pill without any semen in the body

Common side effects of emergency contraceptive pills are:
1) Nausea
2) May vomiting
3) Slight giddiness
4) Chances of irregular menses
5) Chance of heavy bleeding
6) Lower abdominal pain
But after unprotected sex, as a contraceptive you have to take emergency contraceptive pill. It can be taken within 5 days, but should be taken as early as possible. I will suggest you to consult with the gynaecologist for second opinion.
