What Are The Side Effects Of Antibiotics Taken For Bladder Infection?
My mother is 88 years old and has some raised red spots that itch. These spots look like heat rash & they re onl her chin, stomach, lower arms and lower back. Her lower lips looks swollen too. She hasn t changed eating habits, but recently finished antibiotics for bladder infection. Could this be a delayed allergic reaction?

I really appreciate your concern, it is the allergic disorder and of course it could be late hypersensitivity reaction of antibiotic such condition could be self limiting if the symptoms persistence then it can be treated with anti-histamine and best drug would be Tab Hydroxyzine 10 mg three times in day, lips swelling would be part of the reaction hope this information helps.
